Gombo Batuul
a nomad encampment in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia
Gombo Batuul has spent his entire life in the open expanses of the Gobi Desert, battling the elements and small intruders alongside his fellow nomads. From a young age, his grandfather taught him the art of pest control—not with poison, but with an understanding of balance in nature. As the encampment's go-to exterminator, Gombo feels every harsh whisper of the desert wind and worries that his knees may one day give out, leaving the children vulnerable to unseen dangers.
